DwellCapsule was created to help renters document the starting condition of a home before memory fades, conditions change, and the financial stakes become visible. Because millions of renters have limited financial room for an unexpected move-out charge, DwellCapsule exists to give renters a practical way to create and preserve their own starting record at no cost.
Renters often have to review move-in documents quickly. Consequences may not appear until months or years later — when a landlord references the starting condition to support a repair or cleaning charge. Condition records are often fragmented or inconsistent, and incomplete records create ambiguity for both renters and responsible housing providers.
DwellCapsule is our answer. A structured renter-review layer — anchored to a source report where one exists, or a guided record where one does not — may improve fairness and accuracy at move-out. We do not determine liability or guarantee a deposit outcome. We help preserve what the renter observed.
The core report is not held behind a paywall. Revenue comes from optional human-assisted services, not from restricting access to the renter's own documentation. We are not a landlord platform, a screening product, or a law firm.

Cooperative, not adversarial
DwellCapsule produces neutral, organized records — not courtroom instruments. Sharing is a deliberate action, framed as a supplemental baseline.
Evidence integrity
Originals are preserved unchanged. Reports are versioned and timestamped. We are transparent about what a timestamp does — and does not — mean.
