Why it matters
A photo is more useful when its history remains understandable.
Condition evidence can lose meaning when it is separated from when it was added, where it belongs in the rental lifecycle, who contributed it, or what changed later. DwellCapsule keeps that context connected to the record.

Preserve later additions and corrections without silently erasing what came before.

Preserve the original source material.
Original evidence remains distinct from later edits, corrections, annotations, or workflow activity so the record can retain a clear starting point.

Keep capture context and platform timing connected to the evidence.
Where available, device-reported capture timing can remain associated with the evidence, while DwellCapsule also records when the platform received or processed important activity.
Captured (device-reported)
Timing reported with the file or by the device. It is kept with the evidence. It is not an independently certified capture time.
Server received
When DwellCapsule received or recorded important platform activity. This is separate from device-reported capture timing.
Point-in-time records
Preserve what the record looked like at important moments.
Completed submissions and finalized workflow states can remain part of the history rather than being silently overwritten by later activity.

Acknowledgment here means receipt or workflow acknowledgment in the delivery history. It is not the same as agreement with a charge.
Clear boundaries
Record context is not the same as independent forensic verification.
DwellCapsule preserves and connects the information available to the workflow. It should not be described as independently certifying every fact represented by that information.
Capture time
Device-reported capture timing can be preserved, but DwellCapsule does not independently certify when a photo was physically taken.
Location
DwellCapsule does not independently certify the physical location where an image was captured.
Identity
Recording the source or participant associated with an action is not the same as independently verifying real-world identity.
